Questions
Does it hurt?
Sedation helps you relax, and Dr. Wilkinson also numbs the area so you stay comfortable. Most patients feel little or no pain.
Is it safe?
Oral conscious sedation is for appropriate adults. Before any sedation, Dr. Wilkinson reviews your health history and medications and talks with you about whether it's right for you.
Will I be asleep?
No. You stay awake but deeply relaxed, and you can still respond. There's no IV and no general anesthesia. Many patients remember little of the visit.
Do I need a driver?
Yes. Please bring a responsible adult to drive you to and from your sedation visit, and plan to rest the rest of the day.
Do you offer laughing gas?
Yes, nitrous oxide is also available. We'll help you pick what fits you best.

We're in-network with 100+ PPO plans, including Delta Dental, BCBS, Cigna and MetLife, and our team will check your plan. With insurance, your exam is free. No insurance? You're welcome here: the exam + X-rays are $39. Financing: 12 months no-interest with approved credit, plus CareCredit, Sunbit and Proceed. Sedation and treatment are priced separately, and we'll go over costs before anything is done.
